The One plus Nord is finally here and i'll be sharing the details right after this. So the oneplus nord launch is finally upon us we've already got the full details of the phone we know the full design we've had new benchmark results published we have display and camera information that tells us everything we need to know.
The latest benchmarks for the one plus Nord the benchmarks have appeared on geekbench and so far we have three different listings for the oneplus nord they're all very close in score with the single-core score being 610, 611 and 613 the multi-core scoring of the oneplus Nord benchmarks are a little bit more varied but they still come in at 1850, 1944 and a top score of 1957. The benchmark confirms that the oneplus nord is coming under the model number AC2001 and that will be getting the same model across all of the regions the benchmark confirms that the oneplus nord is going to be powered by the snapdragon 765g system on chip but of course we did already know that all three of the benchmarks also confirm a oneplus nord with 12 gigabytes of ram but we believe this is going to be the max spec and lower ram options are going to be available finally it confirms that the oneplus nord is going to be running android 10 in the form of oxygen os which was always likely as android 11.
One Plus Nord Specs:
Isn't official yet now oneplus have also published a new forum post that gives us details on the oneplus nord camera setup they confirmed that the oneplus nord is coming with a cord camera setup on the rear and this gives us six cameras in total the primary risk sensor is going to be the 48 megapixel sony imx 586 and this has an aperture of f 1.75 we also get an 8 megapixel ultra wide a 5 megapixel depth sensor and a 2 megapixel macro lens oneplus have promised various tuning in photography software to provide us with impressive results from this setup on the front we previously had the surprise of a dual camera.
Punch hole which is a 32 megapixel wide angle and an 8 megapixel ultra wide while we had already unveiled this information last week it's great to have confirmation that it is correct now the official launch for the oneplus nord is tomorrow and it's going to be livestream globally and interestingly enough it's going to be the first smartphone ar launch and you can all get involved with this providing you have an android or ios device. That shows us the oneplus nord phone in the center and to the right we've got the time zones for watching this launch event to be honest even if you're not excited for the oneplus nord then i would at least be excited to see the world's first ar launch event this of course is due to the recent outbreak but if the oneplus nord event is successful then we may see future phones launched in this way as it does make it a lot more interactive for consumers.
On the ar app though we only get a view of the front of the oneplus nord and it won't let you rotate because of course they do want some surprises for the event now while there were pre-order opportunities that we discussed last time unfortunately if you haven't done it already then you have missed out this time its pre-orders are all now sold out of course for those who can't wait until tomorrow we've already had the phone revealed by kyle pay and we've already had the full specs of the oneplus nord.
So first of all the oneplus nord was officially unveiled by carl pay for those that don't know carl pay is the co-founder of oneplus and you'll usually see him on stage at the oneplus launches colpay had a 20 minute interview with youtuber mkbhd where they mainly discuss things such as smartphone cost and production but we did get a look at the oneplus nord we were first given a glimpse of the original oneplus nord and as you can see it's very different to what we're expecting colpay explains that they did do something they wouldn't normally do and they changed the design very late in the process and this is the reason for the delays and it pushed the launch back over a month some of you may have also seen this prototype in some earlier documentary videos he then shows us the final design and interestingly enough he says it's the design they settled with probably not the best phrasing considering their slogan is never settled but he shows off the oneplus nord final design from the front and the back.
So we now know we're getting a dual camera on the front and a quad camera setup on the rear in this vertical camera alignment and of course an led flash in the top right this also confirms that the oneplus nord is coming in the grey until color variants but we don't know if there's going to be any extras throughout the interview he also gave plenty of confirmations on features and specs and he explained how they wanted the oneplus nord to be a budget mid-range phone but still be comfortable to use and provide that flagship experience he confirmed it will have the 90 hertz amoled display which is one of the most important features it's gonna have a four thousand one hundred and fifty milliamp hour battery to easily last the day it will of course come with reasonable cameras that we'll cover in detail shortly and it's all powered up by this snapdragon 765g now the snapdragon 765 g isn't the most powerful chipset but it is good enough using this system on chip allows them to keep the cost of the oneplus nord down and for day-to-day use you won't notice the difference it's not going to be able to play the latest 3d games in full detail but it will still be able to play them it's going to be able to provide a pleasurable experience for day-to-day use.
But it just can't do anything too demanding evan blass also tweeted early on a range of cases leaked for the oneplus nord one of the most interesting cases was of course the jerry rig everything case which has now been confirmed by the official oneplus twitter and gives us a look at what the inside of the oneplus nord looks like but overall it's looking like a good mid-range phone that won't break the bank but it will provide you with the specs and design you want so when it comes to the oneplus nord we get a pretty much full screen display which is a fluid amoled 6.44 inch display at a resolution of 1080 by 2400 this gives us a 20 by nine aspect ratio and a 409 pixels per inch density the oneplus nord is going to have a 90 hertz refresh rate a dual punch hole selfie camera and an in display fingerprint scanner the punch hole selfie camera consists of a 32 megapixel wide angle camera with an aperture of f 2.45 and we get an 8 megapixel ultra wide with an aperture of f 2.45.
It's capable of 1080p video at 30 frames a second but it doesn't have optical image stabilization when it comes to the rear of the oneplus nord we've got a quad camera setup in the vertical camera alignment we have a 48 megapixel primary sensor with a wide angle lens and an aperture of f 1.75 this has both phase detect auto focus as well as optical image stabilization this is supported by an 8 megapixel ultra wide with an aperture of f 2.2 a 5 megapixel depth camera with an aperture of f 2.4 and finally a 2 megapixel macro camera with an aperture of f 2.4 the one plus nord has dual led flash and it does support hdr it allows for 4k or 1080p video but only at 30 frames a second this is most likely down to its weaker system on chip.
It will provide electronic and optical stabilization the phone comes with six gigs of ram and 128 internal storage while other oneplus phones recently have removed the microsd card slot we are hoping for this to come back in the nord but they still haven't confirmed the oneplus nord is powered by the snapdragon 765g which is a capable chipset to power the phone it's gonna manage day-to-day tasks with no issues and it's only going to struggle with the very demanding tasks it has 5g connectivity nfc bluetooth 5.1 and it's all powered by a 4 15 milliamp hour battery with 30 watt warp charge support it unfortunately does not have the three and a half mil headphone jack but we will likely see deals for the oneplus buds now overall it's looking like a great mid-range smartphone and should compete well with the pixel 4a in the iphone se it's providing us with a decent 90hz display and a respectable camera setup on the rear that means for most people it's going to be able to do everything they need of course if you're a gamer then this isn't the phone for you but for anyone else it's definitely going to be worth considering it's launching in europe and india first and then it may go to north america later on its launch price is expected to be just under 500.
